A Gentleman Revitalizes Her

Glancing out her window, Sarah let out a slow sigh. The city bustled on the street below, but she felt anything but alive. She was tired. And if she stopped to admit it, she was lonely.

It had been two years since her husband died suddenly of a heart attack. She had passed the time by throwing herself into her work as a financial analyst. Being a workaholic for 60 hours a week to pass the time had certainly worked to her advantage [...]

Her hard work secured her a spot as a Vice President at the firm, which will mean even more work. That really was the coping strategy she had adopted. She was existing not living.

At lunch with her friend Danielle the next day, she shared her feelings. She just wanted to have some fun for a change. But it had been so long, that she felt like she had forgotten how. What Danielle told her next shocked her. She had used the services of a male companion named Brendon when she needed a date for an important event. She suggested Sarah consider taking a weekend getaway to Playa del Carmen and get him to go with her. Sarah rejected the idea outright.

“Are you crazy? I can’t do something like that!”

“You most certainly can, and you should! You deserve it.

At home that night, Sarah couldn’t stop thinking about what Danielle had said. Her curiosity was getting the best of her. So she enter his website. She scrolled through his bio and menu. Maybe Danielle was right. Maybe she did deserve to live a little.

She texted him then talk on the phone. He put her at ease about using his services, and by the end of the call Sarah had booked a reservation.

The week leading into the weekend flew by. Sarah wasn’t sure where the time went. She was both excited and nervous going into the weekend. She was tempted to cancel, but there was a side of her that knew she needed this.

Her heart raced when she met him at Cancun airport, she almost couldn’t speak. Brendon was breathtaking! His brown eyes sparkled as he smiled.

“Your king awaits my queen to serve you away for the weekend.”

“Your queen is ready,” Sarah replied. And she grabbed her bag and headed to the car, heading about one hour to Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. They were booked into a place at Playacar for the weekend.

The drive was relaxing and the conversation flowed easily. They chatted as if they had known each other for years, and before they knew it, they were pulling up to the place. They checked in, dropped their bags in the room, and headed out to take a drive along Riviera Maya.

The sun was shining on the crystal clear blue waters as they drove and stopped at the overlook areas. The scenery was breathtaking. Brendon put his arms around Sarah as they looked out at the beauty before them. They breathed in the summer air as he nuzzled her ear and neck. Sarah felt the tingles go all the way down her spine to her toes. She also felt relaxed.

As the sun started to wane, they headed back into downton and went to a local pub for dinner. They chatted and laughed over wine. The food was delicious, and Sarah hadn’t laughed so much in a long time. Back at the place, they sat out on the balcony drinking more wine. They looked up at the stars, and the heat from the weather couldn’t compare to the heat between Brendon and Sarah. Sparks flew in the air like static. Brendon brushed a hair from her eye and his hand lingered on her cheek. She felt his breath on her ear and flushed. She felt like she couldn’t breathe. As he leaned in to her, everything else around them faded to black.

When Sarah woke in the morning, she stretched n the bed, feeling refreshed and energized. Brendon had already gotten breakfast for them and set it up on the table.

“Get up sleepyhead, unless you want breakfast in bed”!

Sarah jumped up. She was starving. After breakfast, they headed out on an adventure to Xcaret Park. Sarah felt almost like a kid — carefree and happy. They played explorers romping through the cenotes. Brendon kept a protective hand on Sarah’s hand and back to be sure she didn’t lose her footing. She felt safe and cared for, something she hadn’t felt since her husband passed.

Once back at the place, they relaxed in the Jacuzzi, sipping wine and talking. Brendon whispered in Sarah’s ear, causing her to blush. The heat and the water bubbled up, steam surrounding them in a veil of privacy.

As they drove back to Cancun airport the following day, Sarah felt alive and happy. It felt good to feel alive again. And it was all thanks to Brendon Companion who came to revitalizes her.
